Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has responded to the famous “But What Does Corey Taylor Think?” meme that has blown up on the internet recently throughout many threads on social media at just about any moment that the outspoken front man has seemed to have an opinion on a topic.

Metal Hammer got to the bottom of Taylors views as seen below:

“It’s funny, because people act like I just toot my own f*cking horn or chime in,” says Taylor.

“I only give my opinion when people like you ask—I’m not online doing this sh*t. I think that meme is in reaction to the fact that my opinion gets picked up by a million f*ckin’ media outlets and … turned into … different news stories and it’s taken so far out of f*cking context that you have to trace it all the way back to the source material to figure out what’s being said.”

“It’s a pain in my a**,” Taylor expresses.

“However, the meme is hilarious. I love that it’s used in a way that takes the piss out of me but also takes the piss out of other people as well.”

“If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been made fun of, screamed at or talked sh*t about, I wouldn’t need to do this gig, or I’d be doing it at a whole other opulent level, coming in a gold f*cking limo handing out titles for everyone!”

So there you have it, kids. This is what Corey Taylor really thinks!

Stone Sour also finally released their new anticipated album Hydrograd on June 30th.

When discussing the new album name with Loudwire, Taylor said: “Well, it’s a cool name,” and held onto it. “I actually named one of the songs I wrote ‘Hydrograd.’ And I was, like, ‘You know what? That would be a good name for the album overall and just kind of run with it.’ So that’s it, really — it was what I saw but didn’t really see.”
