Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Reveals New Information About New Slipknot Album

By  |

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has finally spoken publicly in regards to the future of Slipknot and just how long fans could expect to wait for the metal band’s next album.

The next release is still currently untitled. However, Taylor expresses that the album is in the process of being completed, but it will still be awhile until fans can grab a taste of new music.

“We’re not really doing anything right now. I know we’re kind of slowly starting to write some music. Other than that, we’re just kind of taking some time off. Clown’s gonna direct some movies, Sid’s gonna do some stuff… We’re all kind of doing our own thing… But that’s it. I mean, really. Next year is everybody kind of doing their own thing, and then probably after that, we will slowly but surely start to get together to do some Slipknot stuff.”

Taylor has expressed similar statements throughout interviews taken place prior to the release of majority of the current Slipknot albums, but it appears that no music will be released until Taylor has finished his current touring duties with Stone Sour, and that the remaining respected members complete their own side projects.

Meanwhile, Stone Sour will be touting their recent (and most anticipated) album, Hydrograd, which they recently revealed will be released in June.
