Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall Features On llly Song

By  |

Last month Tonight Alive returned to the spotlight with the announcement that they had now signed with Hopeless Records/UNFD, as well as the release of their newest song “World Away.”

“‘World Away’ is a continuation of our quest for self understanding and empowerment, but this time through developing a personal relationship with darkness,” vocalist Jenna McDougall says.

“In a society that conditions us to suppress and shy away from confronting emotions, we wrote an invitation in World Away to shake hands with what scares us most and begin recognizing the opportunity for growth in struggle. Produced by Dave Petrovic (‘The Other Side’, ‘The Edge’) we are sharing ‘World Away’ with our fans as the introduction to the sound of the next chapter of Tonight Alive.”

Following the news, Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall was also seen featuring in a new llly hip-hop song called “Oh My.”

The tracks somewhat nostalgic video features both artists on location in LA, showing a young woman hunting through scrap yards in order to find parts for the perfect go-kart.

“The track is a shout out to incredible women, and I think the video really represents the song well,” Illy explains.

“I really admire Illy’s artistry. Collaborating with him on the track was super natural and we had a great time on set together! I loved singing on a song that praises women but has nothing to do with love. That’s bad ass to me. It was actually freezing the day we shot the video in LA but ‘Oh My’ brings the Aussie summer vibes.” Jenna McDougall says.

Tonight Alive are also currently on tour across the UK this May.

Tour dates:

28 – SLAM DUNK NORTH – LEEDS City Centre
