Parkway Drive front man Winston McCall also made note of the band’s growth in their new musical direction in comparison to some of their previous albums. One key word that vocalist McCall referred to was “refinement.”

“It’s a bit of everything. It’s everything… I think the best way to describe it… it’s refinement,” McCall elaborated.

“I think ideas that we’ve had in the past that are new, we’ve gone even further with new ideas, but things that we’ve always loved about the band we’ve just made sharper and more aggressive and have more impact and more statement to them. So, we’re not leaving things behind, but we’re definitely not staying in the same place.” He says.

The currently untitled album in reference will be the Australian outfit’s sixth studio album, following the successful release of Ire back in 2015. The new heavier and more “aggressive” album is looking like it’ll be released later this year, however a release date has not yet been confirmed.

In 2016 Parkway Drive released an anticipated a deluxe digital edition of their previously released album, “Ire,“ for a July 15th release on Epitaph. The deluxe re-issue  featured three bonus tracks, including two new songs, “Devil’s Calling” and “Into The Dark“ and a remix of “A Deathless Song” featuring Tonight Alive’s own Jenna McDougall.
